Annual Meeting & Reports
ANNUAL MEETING 2016 was held Sunday, June 5 from 3-7pm at The Palindrome.
Guest Speaker, David J. Thompson, author of Weavers of Dreams, a cooperative history, became immersed in the civil rights and anti-war movements after emigrating to the
U.S. in the 1960s. Seeing the immense numbers of people gathered in marches and rallies, he realized that if we worked together in cooperatives, we could change the world. David became one of the founders of the modern cooperative movement.
Special Guests were folks from our local cooperatives. Co-op Bingo helped us meet people and discover who does what in our community as well as a chance to win a Food Co-op gift card! The Paella House served veggie paella and salad. Live old time music played and cider and wine was offered from Eaglemount tasting room.
