Children, parents, teens and adults are invited to attend a Free Five Week program at the Jefferson County Library on brain-based movements facilitated by Sonia Story of MovePlayThrive.com sponsored by Port Townsend Food Co-op.
Brain-based movements are effective for calming, brain development and the ability to focus, control impulses and process sensory information. De-stress and learn more easily by adding brain-based movement to your daily life. While effective for individuals of all ages and abilities, it is especially ideal for children and adults with anxiety, test anxiety, learning challenges, and behavioral challenges. Also effective for better strength, stamina and posture.
Introductory Session for Parents, Teens and Adults, Wed. evening March 28, 2012.
The program continues on the following Saturday mornings with age appropriate movements for 0 to 5 years old from 9 am-9:45 am and for ages 6 to adult from 10:15 to 11:30. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by a parent. Walk-ins are welcome, but attending the entire program achieves best results. www.moveplaythrive.com
