In this natural foods class you will learn about common and unique grains and how to expand your grain repertoire. Learn about health issues that can arise when diets emphasize one grain, especially grains used in packaged foods that have been over-processed. Learn about the health benefits of incorporating a variety of minimally processed and whole grains into your diet. Taste samples of prepared dishes. Class is slide show, lecture-based with ample opportunities for interactive discussion and questions. Taught by Brwyn Griffin, Port Townsend Food Co-op Education/Outreach Manager.
