Learn about how oils are processed and why to avoid some bad oils. Learn about trans-fats and how to avoid them. Learn how unhealthy oils are hidden in many of the packaged foods we eat and how to find them in your foods. Learn about the benefits of healthy fats and oils and how to incorporate them into your diet. Taste samples of prepared dishes. Class format will be lecture/slide show with ample time for lively discussion and questions. Taught by Brwyn Griffin, Education/Outreach Manager at Port Townsend Food Co-op.
