A Word About the Products We Choose to Carry

Our Product Selection Guidelines are an extension of our mission and values. These product guidelines are offered to provide a framework in which The Food Co-op ideals of good nutrition, respect for the environment, fostering of local production, workplace democracy, and co-operative member ownership will be translated into the selection of goods for the store. The Food Co-op's purpose of providing a broad range of pure, whole, staple foods and other essential items at a reasonable price is the base upon which these guidelines rest.

Ask about our Cooper Card. Give as a gift card or use instead of a debit or credit card with no card usage fees for the co-op and no cost for you. Load your card with cash and recharge to use over-and-over. Cards available at any checkstand or at Member Services.

The following documents provide information about the ingredients in the products on our shelves and articulate our stand on genetically modified organisms (GMOs). We also provide a current list of local farmers, producers, and distributors who provide many of the products and services available in our store.
