GM Update

The Food Co-op has had its first report of a staff person who has tested positive for COVID-19. This employee was last in our store over 20 days ago, well outside the 10-14-day incubation period which is why the Health Department felt we did not need to know sooner.

Since being notified by the employee the Co-op has been in contact with the Jefferson County Health Department. They have informed us that our current, rigorous COVID-19 screening process and cleaning protocols are sufficient to address the situation and that no other action is required. Additionally, they indicated that no other staff member needed to self-quarantine as the incubation period was long past.

The staff person who tested positive is receiving care and will not return to work until guidance from the public health officials allow it.

Be Well,

Kenna Eaton, GM
