March/April Beans for Bags Spotlight: Olympic Housing Trust

The Olympic Housing Trust (OHT) is honored to be the Olympic Peninsula’s only community land trust, and as a nonprofit housing provider it is committed to permanently affordable housing and ecologically conscious building design.

In 2024, OHT will be breaking ground with the Dundee Hill project as its flagship homeownership opportunity in Port Townsend. These five homes will not only be built and operated at a higher environmental standard but will be sold to local homebuyers who earn a living wage but cannot compete in an inequitable and extremely expensive housing market.

OHT’s recent Housing Trust Fund award has set the stage for success with Dundee Hill and adds a firm footing for this grassroots organization to grow. The team is also very excited to be partnering with the Jefferson Land Trust to explore the Chimacum Commons project and serve a broader coalition of Jefferson County’s residents.
