August Pop up -- NEW Local Recycling Solution by PT Potential

  • The Food Co~op 414 Kearney Street Port Townsend, WA, 98368 United States (map)

Roarke and Ronnie, PT Potential.

Pop-Up Drop-Off

Save up those annoying plastic lids and repurpose them for something bigger!……. not the landfill!

Join us in mitigating our pollution and working towards a more local, circular economy.

POP UP LOCATION: South side of the Co-op (Courtyard side)

We would like to change PT’s concept of pollution and together take more responsibility for our current economy’s byproducts. We aim to fill in the gaps of our county recycling and see upcycled plastic serving our community rather than polluting our wilderness and waters.

Our team is currently processing plastic via the plastic shredder designed by the good folks at "Precious Plastic," and ramping up to begin construction on an extruder. We hope to fulfill some local "basket" orders thereafter and work on producing pegboard and other useful infrastructure. In the meantime, we are stockpiling shredded plastic for future projects, building partnerships, and developing a "consumer guide".

WHAT WE CAN COLLECT

       Caps, lids and can connectors

          - everything from hummus containers and peanut butter lids to milk and tetrapak lids
