Co+op Explorers
Starting October 2019 our previously named Cooper Kids Club ABC (apple, banana, carrot) program will be renamed to the Co+op Explorers. Why you ask? Well as part of our rebrand process, we wanted to take advantage of some of the resources we have available to us through our National Co+op Grocers Membership. By using the Co+op Explorers look, we have access to some really fun materials including an interactive fruit and veggie passport for exploring new foods, kid friendly recipe cards, stickers, temporary tattoos, and so much more. All kids 12 and under with a household co-op membership are considered Co+op Explorers and are eligible to receive one free apple, banana, carrot per visit.
Here's how it works:
Kids and parents stop by the produce department and look for Co+op Explorers approved snacks (any apple, banana, or carrot).
Enjoy snack while shopping. What should you do with the banana peel? Peels can be thrown away in the pig compost bin in the dining area. If you don't see it, just ask a staff person.
When you check out, please remind the cashier that your child or children ate a free apple, banana or carrot as part of Co+op Explorers so that we can track participation in the program.
Bonus: Look around the store to find Co+op Explorers stickers, recipes, coloring pages and more.
That's all there is to it! If you have any questions, please ask any staff member.
