    The Meat and Seafood Manager works under the supervision of the Store Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of the Meat and Seafood Department, achieving positive financial operating results, excellent customer service, and offering top quality foods consistent with the Food Co-op’s values and mission.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Three or more years of supervisory experience, in related field such as retail meat management

    • Three or more years of experience in commercial preparation of meat, poultry, or seafood

    • Associates degree or equivalent experience

    • Experience in budgeting, ordering, planning, and scheduling

    • Valid Food Worker Card issues in WA, or acquire within 2 weeks of hire

    • Natural and/or organic foods experience helpful

    $29.47 - 43.01/hour DOE/DOQ

  • We’re looking for a reliable, flexible, Full Time Meat and Seafood Preparer to join our bunch!

    The Meat and Seafood Preparer provides friendly, knowledgeable customer service to shoppers. Cuts, packages and prices meat, poultry and seafood products and maintains the cleanliness and safety of the store. Responsible for re-ordering, receiving, and stocking products. 

    • HS diploma or equivalent 

    • Valid Food Worker Card issued in WA, or acquire within 2 weeks of hire

    • Experience operating commercial meat slicers or grinders strongly preferred

    • 6 or more months of relevant experience in customer focused position strongly preferred

    • 1 year of successful relevant experience in commercial food preparation or related field preferred

    • Natural and/or organic foods experience helpful

    $19.50 - 28.47/hour DOE/DOQ

  • We’re looking for a reliable, courteous, enthusiastic, Full-Time Wellness team member with a passion for customer service!

    The Wellness Clerk provides excellent, friendly, knowledgeable customer service to shoppers. The Wellness Clerk is responsible for the timely and accurate ordering, inventorying and stocking of wellness products. 

    Minimum Requirements:

    • HS diploma or equivalent 

    • Valid Food Worker Card issued in WA, or acquire within 2 weeks of hire

    • 6 or more months of successful, relevant experience in retail or other customer focused position

    • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with customers and other staff members in a positive manner both in person and over the phone

    • Experience with selling and/or ordering natural products and supplements, strongly preferred

  • The Food Co-op is seeking a Regular, Part-Time (16-24 hours/week) Cash Handler to join the Finance Team!

    The Cash Handler is committed to providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, actively supporting the Food Co-op’s vision and mission, and contributing to the achievement of its objectives.

    The Cash Handler, under the supervision of the Senior Bookkeeper, is responsible for managing the store’s cash tills and conducting daily deposits. Additionally, this role may perform various routine clerical duties within the Finance Department as needed. Valid Driver's License and access to personal vehicle required.

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent.  Valid Food Worker Card issued in WA or acquired within 2 weeks of hire. 

    Experience: 1-2 years relevant experience in cash handling, bookkeeping or related experience.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 1 year experience in a grocery/retail setting to include inventory, stocking, cashiering, and receiving

    • Previous Deli or Food Service experience preferred

    • Warehousing, logistics or operational experience ideal

    • HS diploma or equivalent

    • Valid Food Worker Card issued in WA, or acquire within 2 weeks of hire

    • Scheduling flexibility – the ability to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays and to work both am & pm shifts essential

  • The Food Co-op is looking for an experienced Food Services Cook to join our team!

    The Food Services Cook is responsible for the production of healthy, natural foods for sale in the deli and the grab-n-go case, including soups, salads, entrees, sauces, etc. This position contributes to team and store optimal by producing high quality food and assisting with menu planning, costing of recipes, placing orders for ingredients and coordinating kitchen production activities.

    Minimum Requirements include:

    • 1 year of successful relevant experience in commercial food preparation or related field

    • 3 years of experience preferred.

    • Customer service experience preferred.

    • Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment

    • Experience training others in safe operations preferred

    • Valid Food Worker Card issues in WA, or acquire within 2 weeks of hire

    Are you a local & organic foods enthusiast with a passion for customer service?

    The Food Co-op is seeking a Part-Time Evening Shift Grocery Stocker to join our Grocery Team! We encourage you to apply!

    The Evening Grocery Team works together to stock our shelves and put large freight orders away in an effort to set the morning crew up for success. This evening group works in a team environment, lifting each other up and helping to keep the store well-stocked and organized.

    Minimum Requirements: Valid Food Worker Card issued in WA or the ability to acquire one within two weeks of hire.

    Preferred Qualifications: 6 months of successful, relevant experience in a retail stocking/receiving or related customer focused field.

    $19.50-28.47/hour DOE/DOQ
