Board Update
We want to update you on some changes in Co-op leadership:
Board President Owen Rowe has resigned from the Food Co-op Board, effective January 1, 2025. We are grateful to Owen for all his leadership, enthusiasm and counsel on behalf of the Co-op, both as vice president and president. He was crucial to our work reworking our mission statement, our values statements and revisiting and revising our Ends—the overarching goals of the Co-op. He was a mainstay of the board for many years, and we wish him well in his future endeavors.
Vice President Diana Grunow will serve as acting president. Diana began working with the board in the fall of 2023, when she started attending board meetings and joined the Community Engagement Committee. Diana was elected by the membership in June and has served as VP since September. Diana’s previous leadership roles have included running DEI programs for the military.
The board is taking the next few weeks to regroup and reorganize after this leadership change, so there will be no regular board meeting in January. The next board meeting will be held February 5, 2025, when officers will be elected.
All the best,
Kenna
