This Valentine’s Day, try these flavorful, fun and fruity salsa recipes, using in season fruit like pineapple, mango, grapefruit and bananas.
Mango Salsa

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups mango, pitted, peeled and diced
1/4 cup green pepper, diced
1/4 cup red onion, minced
1 tablespoon jalapeno pepper,diced
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro,minced
Juice of 1 lime
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
To prepare salsa, toss mango, green pepper, onion, jalapeno, cumin and cilantro in a mixing bowl with lime juice and season with salt and pepper. Salsa may be prepared up to a day in advance, to allow flavors to combine.
Grapefruit Salsa

Ingredients
2 medium grapefruit, peeled and segmented
2 tablespoons red onion, minced
1/2 cup red bell pepper, diced
1/4 cup cucumber, peeled and cut in small dice
1 garlic clove, minced
2 teaspoons jalapeño, seeded and minced
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
1 teaspoon honey
2 tablespoons lime juice
Pinch of salt
Preparation:
Carefully chop the grapefruit into chunks. In a mixing bowl, gently stir together all of the salsa ingredients. Let sit for 15 minutes before serving.
Spicy Banana Habanero Salsa

Ingredients
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon fresh ginger,peeled and minced
2 large firm bananas, peeled and diced (about 2 cups)
1/2 cup yellow bell pepper, diced
1/2 cup green pepper, diced
1/2 cup red onion, diced
3 tablespoons fresh minced cilantro
1 teaspoon fresh habanero pepper, seeded and minced (1 pepper)
Preparation
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the oil, lime juice, brown sugar and fresh ginger. Add the bananas, peppers, onion and cilantro and mix well.
Pineapple Salsa

2 cups diced fresh pineapple
¼ cup diced red onion
½ jalapeño pepper, diced
Juice and zest of 1 lime
½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 garlic clove, minced
¼ teaspoon sea salt
Tortilla chips, for serving
Preparation:
In a medium bowl, combine the pineapple, red onion, jalapeño, lime juice and zest, cilantro, garlic, and sea salt. Season to taste and chill until ready to use. Serve with tortilla chips.
