Cooking with the Co-op: World Flavors for Home Kitchens - Sicilian Food
Join our cooking exploration of Sicilian food. Take an enticing ramble through Sicilian culinary history; influenced by early Greeks, Roman colonists; Arab and Norman invaders. Cook up a feast of healthy Mediterranean foods—rich, varied and always delicious. Don’t miss this gastronomic extravaganza!
The menu will reflect our local fresh produce, with easy-to-use recipes that are “keepers” for the home cook.
Dietary Notes: Class is vegetarian with dairy, gluten-free but not in a gluten-free facility using primarily organic food from the Port Townsend Food Coop. Limited to 10 people.
About the instructor
Sidonie Maroon is a local chef, culinary educator, and writer. She brings people together to create feasts from international menus, using local in-season foods. You will also find her in her kitchen studio developing recipes, working on revisionist baking projects or in her garden.
