Our First Farmer Fund Grants
In February, we were thrilled to award our first Farmer Fund Grants to six local farms using donations from our members. We hope this fund grows from year to year.

September/October Beans For Bags Spotlight: Heartberries Playschool
Heartberries is an all outdoors program for children ages 2-5 based at Peace Hill and Shy Acre Farm in Port Townsend, Washington. We seek to provide affordable care that is nature immersive, multi-cultural, cultivates the imagination, and encourages children's natural inclinations towards love and kindness.
July/August Beans For Bags Spotlight: Community Build – Housing Builds Community
Community Build built three temporary supervised villages in Jefferson County starting with Peter's Place in Port Hadlock in 2020. This was followed by Pat's Place in Port Townsend, and we have built 20 tiny shelters for OlyCAP at Caswell-Brown off Mill Road. These facilities have housed over 75 residents over the last 3 years. We are so proud of this accomplishment!

JUMP! Jefferson Universal Movement Playground was formed in 2016 as a group of parents and physical and occupational therapists to build the first accessible and inclusive playground in our County.
