Our staff is busy sourcing new items and/or substitutes, and it looks like they‘re doing a great job! Sales continue to be strong and will meet if not beat the budget in May.

What it means to be a member of a Co-op
In a cooperative, that is our goal—the common good. Working for the common good sometimes means we accept policies or outcomes that we might not have chosen ourselves.

RE-ROOFING THE CO-OP
Over the years we’ve developed several tricks to cope with the sunlight that dares to enter our building. So now, given the price of both replacing the skylight and coping with mitigating the effects of the sun, we decided to go ahead and re-roof but not replace it.

Seeds have already begun to arrive. This year we have a new local vendor for seeds, Deep Harvest Farm from Whidbey Island (owners Annie Jesperson and Nathaniel Talbot)…

We are going to monitor how many shoppers are in the store to keep everyone safe. If you have the flexibility to shop earlier or later in the day, that would help spread the love.
GM Update: Introducing New & Improved COOP2GO
Beginning October 13th when you visit our website and click on the COOP2Go banner you will be directed to our new online shopping platform, still called COOP2Go.

A note from the GM - July 2020
Co-op staff are committed to making the value of inclusion—one of our seven Food Co-op values—the focus of our internal work in 2021, and we will look at how we can be both more welcoming and more accessible to our diverse community.
